The inspiration for my look was my Silver Clutch, that I had bought at an exhibition in Singapore. The Clutch is so unique and a beautiful piece of art, it has the perfect mix of metal, crystals, stone and shell work. I wanted to incorporate the colours of the Clutch into my look.
I started with a Beige Pleated Skirt, I am still in love with pleated skirts, they look so classy and chic. If you haven’t bought a Pleated Skirt yet, this is a great one to start with because it’s a neutral colour, a great fit and is midi-length. But when wearing Pleated Skirts, it is important to accentuate your waist, otherwise your body would look heavier and shapeless. I recommend wearing the Skirt high waisted at the slimmest part of your waist and always remember to tuck in your Shirt or Top, you could even add a belt to the look.
Ok back to the look, there were elements of Blue in the Clutch, so I thought my Blue Sequins Blazer would complement the look. The Midnight Blue Colour contrasted so well against the Beige Skirt and Top, it really pulled the outfit together. I completed the look with my Miu Miu, Silver Pumps with Glitter Soles. I love these shoes, they are so comfortable and always provide an “oomph” to any outfit. I bought this pair three years ago, but every time I wear them I feel like a Princess; I mean what’s not to love about Glitter Soles right ?
This outfit is perfect for looking glamorous and elegant in the Day Time. As long as you have the confidence, you could wear this to a Date, to the Theatre, to a Fashion or Office Event.
See it’s not so hard to wear sequins and pleated skirts together :). What do you think of this look?
