Styling a Knotted Top for Date Night

There is something so effortlessly chic about wearing Knotted Tops; it’s a trend that has never really gone out of style. Knotting your shirt at the waist is extremely flattering because it helps to accentuate your waist and elongates your figure.

To try the trend out for yourself, you need to look no further then your existing wardrobe. All you need to do is to choose your favourite shirt or T-shirt and simply tie a knot on the side. Remember to unbutton the bottom of your shirt until you get to the length you want, then tie the two sides together. But if you’re too lazy to experiment, you can easily buy shirts that are already designed to be knotted.

For this look, I am wearing the Gabi Stretch Cotton Top from one of my favourite stores in Singapore – In Good Company. I love how it’s so figure-flattering and versatile (it can be worn with denim, culottes or skirts). I am also a big fan of this stunning shade of Blue. This particular shade works so well with my skin tone, so I make sure to invest in clothing in this shade of Blue.

To make this look more appropriate for date night or a night out with friends, I wore my favourite pair of Red Shoes by Aquazzura. This pair is called the Wild Thing in Poppy Red; they add the perfect pop of colour to this look. I love wearing Red and Blue together, both the colours are so classic yet trendy. It is truly one of my favourite colour combinations.

Have you tried experimenting with Knotted Tops?
