Dressing up in the Summer for me, is all about having fun and being more experimental with your wardrobe. One of my favourite pieces to wear in the Summer are Statement Skirts (I think I currently have over 20 different ones in my wardrobe and I am always looking more). I think what I love most about them is that they are so versatile and fun to build an outfit around. Most Statement Skirts are chic enough to be dressed up with a pair of heels for a special occasion or a night out. And also at the same time can be dressed down with your favourite graphic t-shirt and sneakers. So trust me when I say that a Statement Skirt is one of those bold pieces which will always help you stand out and also get you compliments whenever you wear it out.
I am wearing the most gorgeous skirt by Johanna Ortiz, it was love at first sight with this piece (the colour, print and style all came together so beautifully). As Statement Skirts are bold enough to stand out on their own, they need to be paired against simple and neutral pieces. So I wore the skirt with a chic white button down shirt by Osman Studio. For a fun touch I wore a pair of Pink Tassel earrings and added my favourite bag from Mark Cross the Grace Bag.
The great thing about Statement Skirts is that you are able to have so much fun mixing and matching your top and accessories with them. By styling your skirt with other pieces, you will certainly get much more wear out of your skirt, and will be able to create many more outfit options in your wardrobe.
There are so many different styles, colours, patterns available in stores right now, you will find a piece which will suit your style. Hope this inspires you to go shopping and invest in some Statement Skirts for yourself this summer.
