In Good Company (IGC) is one of my favourite Singaporean labels. Founded in 2012, the brand has grown significantly in Singapore’s fashion scene. IGC is known for its signature tailoring and minimalistic yet modern designs. IGC produces capsule collections three times a year (in January, May and August). Every time I enter the IGC store I fall in love with their entire collection. They produce wardrobe staples that are versatile enough to be dressed up or down and can be worn everyday.
Today I am wearing their Sybil Stretch Cotton Crop Top. I was instantly drawn to this Top because of the self tie detail. Apart from having a thing for Bell Sleeves, I also definitely have a thing for Knotted Tops. I find them figure-flattering and effortlessly chic to wear. Knotting your Top at the waist is allows you to accentuate your waist and elongate your figure. For instance, I am only 158 cm, but when I wear a Knotted Top I tend to look much taller. They can also be worn in many ways, I have worn this Top with denim, culottes, cropped trousers and skirts.
For this look, I paired my Top with one of my favourite faux suede jackets from Zara. This is another wardrobe essential, that works so well for transitional weather or a mild winter in my case. While this outfit looks perfect on its own, I had to add some colour, in order to make it more appealing for myself. So I wore my Emerald Green Padlock Gucci Signature Bag and a gorgeous pair of Embellished Maroon Slides. My shoes were a great find from Dune London while I was in Doha. They are so similar to a style Prada created a few seasons back and I bought them for only $75.00 on sale. This is one pair of shoes that I am going to wearing on repeat this year.
I am curious to know, are you a minimalist or do you like to embrace colour?

I honestly feel like your the color mixing queen! I would have never though to mix a striped top with red embellished flats and a green purse. Everything works so well in perfect harmony! I love knotted tops too! I also find them to be very flattering.

I love the way you styled this knotted top from IGC! Didn’t realize Singapore had so many cool brands, but after talking to a friend who worked there (selling Scandinavian brands) for many years I stood corrected. Now I know there’s a huge fashion scene and I love getting introduced to new labels such as In Good Company! As for your styling, it’s impeccable and I absolutely love it! 🙂
