Ever since last year, I have loved wearing all types of Statement Tops. So naturally, my wardrobe is filled with Tops that have Ruffles, Bell Sleeves or are Off the Shoulder. While all of those Tops are still relevant; the Spring update your wardrobe needs right now is a One Shoulder Top. I personally love the One Shoulder trend, because it looks incredibly feminine, flirty and fun. But I know some people might shy away from this trend because they just don’t feel comfortable wearing it. So I wanted to show you how to style a One Shoulder Top in a classy way.
I am wearing one of my favourite Tops from Pomelo Fashion‘s Spring/Summer 2017 collection. It’s called the Taki One Shoulder Bow Shirt in Blue. This is a super fun piece, not only is it One Shoulder, but it also combines stripes and bows so perfectly together. Depending on how you style them, a One Shoulder Top can be classy and chic or more casual and effortless. As I was going for more of a classy look, I paired the Top with Red Culottes. But it would also look amazing tucked into a pair of skinny or straight pants. I love wearing Blue and Red together because it’s a winning colour combination, that never fails and always complements my skin tone.
Other ways to wear this versatile piece would be with a pair of high-waisted or boyfriend jeans. It can also be worn with a sleek A-line or Midi skirt; and even with high-waisted shorts. The possibilities are truly endless, so my advice would be to keep experimenting with your wardrobe. If you still don’t feel confident enough to try this trend. I would recommend layering it over a well fitted tee (trust me, this will look incredibly chic).
But do remember to be careful with your accessories; because you don’t want them to take away the focus from your look. So I would personally just wear a pair of statement earrings, as they are not over powering. These grey tasseled earrings are from Lovisa and retailing for only $15.99. I am loving tasseled earrings at the moment and at that price point, it’s so easy to be experimental with them.
Also I would totally recommend looking at Pomelo Fashion‘s Spring/Summer 2017 collection. They have so many gorgeous tops and funky bottoms at an amazing price point. Another top I really love from their collection is the Mai One Shoulder Ruffle Top. It’s such a fun colour for the summer and I love the ruffles. Hope this helps you to feel more confident about trying a One Shoulder top.

I love how you paired that top with a good pant suit. It seriously looks so sophisticated. And those earrings are the perfect finishing touch
Oh my, this top is such a statement piece for the spring/summer season. I have a similar dress and I adore it! I love the idea to pair this striped top with the bright berry culottes trousers. It adds a chic touch to the whole look! And I totally agree, you have to be very careful when it comes to accessories. But those earrings that you’ve chosen for this look, they fit perfectly to it! I love your style and especially this look! It’s so bright!

I love this one shoulder top, the double bow tie details on the left arm is so cute. I love that you decided to wear a bold red colored pants instead of jeans or any other boring bottoms. The tassel earrings are also super pretty and great addition to jazz up the outfit.

As it comes to statement tops, count me in! Although I might not opt for a one shoulder one for quite obvious reasons, it’s not to say that it doesn’t looks amazing on you, as it most certainly does. Combine that with stripes and ruffles and some bold red pants and you’re sure to turn a lot of heads (in admiration) when you walk down the street! You nailed this look babe!

I am loving how versatile this one-shoulder top! I completely agree- the one shoulder is definitely the new must have piece of the season 🙂 And with this top, you can rock all the bows and stripes however you want! I also love the suggestion of styling it with a fitted shirt underneath, such a great idea! You’re so luck you know what color combos work best for you. The red and blue definitely work so well with your skin tone, and you pull it off gorgeously. I also love the vibrant red of those culottes! You’re definitely inspiring me to try more color this coming season 🙂 Finally, you always find the best accessories to rock with your looks! Those tassel earrings are such a steal and complement the whole outfit so well. Tempted to buy every piece! 😉

I absolutely love the one shoulder trend, but not on myself. Im personally just not comfortable in it but I love seeing it on others!! A trend that I have picked up however are ruffles and flares. I have loved that for the past 2 years or so. I like the bright red but would have loved to see it in a casual look as well, like you described with the high wasted jeans.
this is a gorgeous outfit with striking colors! just perfect for summer, makes me miss the waves and want to go to the pool! i love the bow and cold shoulder peek a boo!
Beautiful look! I love your style, it is definitely soemthing I would wear without hesitation. I like that you pair it with flats (because I really never wear heels, LOL) What kind of bag would you pair this look with?
