London Diaries (1 of 6) – Double the Pleats

On this trip, I totally over indulged on Pleated Skirts (I had taken two skirts with me from Singapore and ending up buying three more in London). I really love styling looks with skirts, they are such versatile pieces that work so well with most of your existing wardrobe. So for this look I thought it would be interesting to combine a Pleated Top and Pleated Skirt together. And I also wanted to create a look that combined pieces I had bought from brands in Singapore and in London.

My Top is from a Singaporean brand called Collate The Label  (I will talk more about the label in another post) and it is one of my favourite pieces right now. It is one of those pieces that I was instantly drawn to, there is a peplum cut, pleats on the body and a long back panel. I wore it with my Pleated Skirt from Topshop, and I added a belt from ASOS (this helped create a figure flattering silhouette). Without the belt wearing this look would have made me look heavier than I actually am :).

But my favourite piece from this look was my bag from Charles and Keith (only SGD69 in stores right now). I completely fell in love with it’s shape and colour, it is such a unique piece. Several people in London asked me where I had bought this bag from. It can also be worn with a shoulder strap, so do go and check it out in stores.

I loved how the colours came together in this look, what do you think? What was your favourite piece from this look?

This photoshoot was done by the lovely Natalie from Interlaced Media.
