A Black Dress is a wardrobe essential, every woman should own one, it is so versatile and can be worn in many ways. Today I am posting a look where I wear the same Black Dress with two different sets of accessories to change the look from a “Day” to a “Night ” Outfit.
I bought this dress at Warehouse and loved the simplicity, style and tailoring of the dress.
The first look is simple, neutral and suitable for the Office, so I kept the makeup minimal and natural. I added some fun bracelets, a watch and Nude pumps.
But, if you are in the mood for being more adventurous or work in an environment that is more creative I would wear a scarf with the dress. Scarves are great for brighten up outfits and can be worn in many ways; with the added bonus of matching your accessories to the scarf. I would have definitely worn this look back in the day when I was working.
For the second look I wanted to remove the neutral elements from the look and add Red. I started off my changing my lipstick and darkening my makeup. I then added Red and Gold accessories to make the look more playful.
While, I do love this Dress on its own, I feel it doesn’t provide much shape or structure. Wearing a belt with the dress helped to create a more fitted and structured look; that was more figure flattering. The use of Red was a strong statement that made it the focal point and completely changed the outfit.
It’s easy to carry a change of accessories with you to work to restyle your look from”Day” to “Night “. I would plan the look in advance and work with your different scarfs, bags, jewelry and shoes. Always remember to have fun and be confident when you are dressing up and you will always look incredible :).

Hi Malvika,
Thanks :), this belt is two years old so it will not be available now. But ASOS has some great belts right now, I picked up the one in my latest Blog Post (monochrome with a touch of red), few weeks ago.
