Keeping it Nautical – A Collaboration with Per Lei Couture (2 of 2)

Our second look from my collaboration with Per Lei Couture and Pooja of Les Rebelles Squad is called “Keeping it Nautical”. The idea behind this look was to bring glamour and style to the Marina. The location was absolutely gorgeous, we were surrounded by luxurious yachts docked in the beautiful Marina at the Pearl in Doha. So we decided to make the Marina our runway and brought out our inner divas to this shoot.

We were spoiled for choice when we were browsing through the racks at Per Lei Couture trying different looks. But one designer who stood out for me was Johanna Ortiz. She is a Colombian designer that I have been closely following for the past year. I have seen so many of her beautiful tops on Net-a-Porter, Moda Operandi and on celebrities. But it was a dream come true to be able to see her collection in person. I tried on several tops by her, before choosing the one-shouldered Anastasia top. The tiered ruffle details on this top are stunning and it fit me perfectly. I wanted the focus to stay on the top, so I paired it with white culottes from Paper London.

Staying close to the nautical theme, Pooja styled her look with a sweater and skirt from Erika Cavallini. I totally fell in love with the skirt, it is so gorgeous and voluminous. A beautiful piece that she wore flawlessly. Both of our looks were different but they worked so well together.

This collaboration was one of the highlights of my trip. Not only was it a fun photoshoot but it was an amazing opportunity to wear and style such beautiful outfits.

Which look was your favourite – Ladies of Leisure or Keeping it Nautical?

Such a lovely collab with both your friends (I’m including the lovely food blogger here too) and companies you love involved! It’s a great feeling to get to work with something you’ve followed and admired for a long time and it shows in the results. These outfits are stunning and so are the picture so I understand why they were a highlight of your trip!
