My Balenciaga Giant City Bag

This post is inspired by one of my favourite bags, my Balenciaga Giant City with Gold hardware. I bought this bag with my first pay check in 2008 and had been dreaming about this bag for many reasons.

In Mid-2000, most designer brands were producing bags with monogram logos and this led to Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Coach replicas everywhere. Balenciaga Bags stood out because the bags have no logos, their appeal was fresh and edgy, not your typical bag but something for those who wanted to stand out.

My bag is still in excellent condition after almost 8 years! The distressed lamb-skin leather of the bag ages so well; the lines and wrinkles give it a lot of personality. The Giant Gold Hardware has been discounted as of 2012, because it was making the bag heavier. But I personally love the Giant Gold hardware and I am so glad I managed to buy the bag with it.

While they are now producing mini versions of the city bag, the original Giant City is still as fashionable today as it was 8 years ago, and the style will not go out of fashion for the coming years.

      Hi Malvika,

Thank you so much, but I bought this belt few years ago. I love ASOS belts 🙂 so do check their website out. If there is anything else you like I will definitely post links if I have bought it recently.

      Sarah
