There’s something about Blue and Red

It’s Summer time, I am sure most of you are currently on your holidays or are about to go on them soon. I am staying put in Singapore for now, but will probably be going on a beach vacation somewhere nearby in August. Growing up in Qatar, and now living in Singapore, I am pretty used to living in warmer climates, so a Summer vacation would always mean escaping the heat and travelling to a country with cooler weather (especially when I was living in Qatar). A Summer vacation is also the perfect time to wear cute outfits and looks that you wouldn’t wear on a daily basis.

So my look today is perfect for going on a city vacation and exploring the town (minus the heels, but you could always carry a pair of flat shoes in your bag). This Top and Skirt combination are from Warehouse, one of my favourite high street stores. The outfit is a gorgeous colour and it’s super versatile because you could wear both items in different ways. For example the Top can be worn with Jeans or Black Trousers (and you’re set for a night out). And the skirt could be worn with a T-shirt for a casual look or dressed up with a more formal Top. So ladies, always remember to take a versatile two piece outfit with you on holiday. This will also help save space in your luggage, for bringing back your holiday shopping :).

I accessorised the outfit with Red, because I love the combination of Red and Blue, it’s chic, classy and very easy to wear together. And isn’t the location just amazing?  This doesn’t look like typical Singapore, instead it feels very European. I am at Chijmes, which used to be a Catholic Convent and is over 175 years old. Now it’s a beautiful spot that is buzzing with cafes and restaurants, a must visit if you are coming to Singapore.
